Sinestro Takes The Spotlight In Injustice: Year Two
From IGN
If you've been following DC's Injustice: Gods Among Us - Year Two series, you'll know that writer Tom Taylor is building towards a major confrontation between Superman's new world order and the Green Lantern Corps. Green Lantern uber-villain Sinestro is smack dab in the middle of that conflict, having recently thrown his lot in with Superman.
DC will be releasing the seventh digital chapter Injustice this Tuesday, April 1. This standalone story is written by Taylor and illustrated by Mike Miller, and it focuses squarely on Sinestro's past and his role in the current conflict. Those who prefer the print version of Injustice: Year Two can look forward to Chapters 7 and 8 being collected in Injustice: Year Two #4 later this month.

Our Cool New Facebook Cover
Took a Corps wallpaper created by Squiddytron on deviantART and added the lettering. Our profile pic covers the lower part of the White Lantern bar so no lettering in that bar works out perfect. Came out pretty good if I say so myself.

IGN's Best Of 2013: Best Comic Moment Of The Year Hal And Sinestro
Hal and Sinestro See Eye-to-Eye
After nine years of mythos building and cosmic battling, Geoff Johns brought his career-defining Green Lantern epic to an end. The crux of his series finale wasn’t on defeating some big bad guy -- although the First Lantern and the Guardians did eat it pretty hard before the end -- but with the main series rivalry between Hal Jordan and Sinestro finally coming to a head. The two did clash briefly, but their fists soon fell to words as they spoke honestly to each other for the first time. They admitted that they would always be friends, finally acknowledging that despite all of the wars waged and lives lost, they weren’t so different after all. After such a sprawling Star Wars-esque saga that featured everything from zombie Lanterns to emotional entities, it was a heartfelt surprise for these two stubborn knuckleheads to end things in one of the most profound ways possible, not to mention that Sinestro used Hal’s name for the first time.

Denzel Washington Up for Green Lantern In Batman Vs. Superman?
The latest rumors going around have nearly 60 year old Denzel Washington up for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart in Batman Vs. Superman. The website Nuke The Fridge posted that Washington was rumored to be playing Lex Luthor but instead was being considered for Green Lantern. Personal I feel he would be better for Green Lantern than Luthor but I definitly would want a younger actor in the role, Idris Elba who said he would be interested would be a better fit for the role and is twenty years younger which would work out better for future films. Elba is also closer in age to Ben Affleck (both around 40) who is playing Batman, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot are both around 30 making them half of Washington's age. While age doesn't have to be the only factor the fact DC and Warner Bros. hope to compete with Marvel with a superhero franchise they need to get actors for these roles long term and do it right, not just big name actors.

Idris Elba On Green Lantern Role: “I Like This Idea”
From ComicBook.com
Idris Elba, who has made no secret of his desire to play James Bond and who most recently appeared onscreen as Heimdall in Thor: The Dark World, likes the idea of taking on the role of John Stewart, one of DC Comics’s best-known Green Lanterns.
The Pacific Rim star said as much on Twitter today, after a fan prompted him with a fake movie poster for Green Lantern, featuring Elba and the tagline “Rebirth,” ironically a reference to the best-selling Green Lantern: Rebirth story that restored Hal Jordan to the series lead after a decade or so of Kyle Rayner and John Stewart being DC’s picks for Green Lantern.
Elba has been a fan-favorite for the role of John Stewart for some time now, and there has always been an idea that, since he’s one of the highest-profile DC characters of color, Stewart would be the go-to Green Lantern should the company elect to introduce a new GL in a Justice League film instead of his own solo movie. At one point, hip-hop artist Common was attached to star in the shelved Justice League: Mortal movie from Mad Max director George Miller.
You can check the tweet out below, via CBM.

Help Comics Legend Neal Adams Find Lost Portfolio
Neal Adams, the artist best known for reinventing Batman and Green Lantern in the 1970s and drawing the award-winning Green Lantern/Green Arrow run written by longtime DC editor Dennis O’Neil, has lost a portfolio of original art in New York City–and he wants everyone to know it.
Adams is hoping that New Yorkers assist him in locating a bag of art portfolios he left in the trunk of a yellow cab almost a month ago; he’s had no luck with official channels in New York, and so has taken his appeal to the press–both inside and outside of the comics industry.
“Oh my God, I put that thing in the car like I never do and sure enough they’re gone,” Neal Adams told CBS 2 on Friday. “I can tell you I’ve kept hold of it very well for a long time, but by golly.”
Adams has also put his prodigious art talent to use by sketching the taxi driver in question, whom he said seemed inexperienced and not familiar with the city but who was courteous and a little shy.
“The lack of certain details presents a challenge,” said Taxi and Limousine Commission spokesman Allan Fromberg, who self-identifies in The New York Post as a longtime fan of Adams. “But we’re going to do everything in our power to reunite Mr. Adams with his portfolios.”
The portfolios, contained in a Bucky O’Hare canvas bag, are reportedly short on commercial value and long on personal/sentimental value to Adams. Adams’s family-run studio is offering a reward for the return of the sketches–which range over thirty years of Adams’s career–which the person returning can take in cash or trade for original art.
